Family

I've been thinking a lot lately about my grandparents.  I think it's because of the holiday season.  Easter in my family always meant going to Grandma & Grandpa's house.  Or our Aunt & Uncle's.  And now that we all have our own little families, we don't do this anymore.  This makes me sad.  Maybe it's just a part of growing up.  But at the same time, it is nice to start our own family traditions.  This year I made a scavenger hunt for my two kiddos.  They had a blast.  That is something I definitely will do next year.  Maybe more clues and hiding spots next time.  :)  I don't think it lasted long enough for them.  Or maybe I'll do one for each; have hubs go with one, and I'll go with the other.  Who knows.  The possibilities are endless.  Maybe growing up isn't so bad.  Especially when I see the excitement on my own kids faces.

Time to Start

I've started this blog to have a place to put all of my random, and sometimes odd thoughts.  I always seem to have ideas running through my head, and I'd like a way to just get them out there.  Since I'm a Mom of 2 kids, (both a boy and a girl) a scrapbooker, painter, flower maker, crocheter, sewing gal,  and all-around crafter who loves to take pictures, cook and bake, I think I have some pretty good ideas.  I'd also like to share what worked for me, and what didn't.  I know it seems like every person has a blog.  And there are blogs for EVERYTHING.  This one isn't going to be just about crafts, or kids.  Just about life in general.  :)  

I made both the hat & flower that my beautiful daughter Bug is modelling :)
